L'éblouissante lueur pourrait être bénéfique dans un deck rouge agressif cherchant à infliger des dégâts en empêchant plusieurs créatures de bloquer, surtout dans une partie multijoueur où il y a plus de cibles potentielles. Cependant, il existe potentiellement de meilleures options comme Pyroclasm ou Slagstorm qui offrent un impact immédiat ou un contrôle du plateau plus important pour un coût similaire, ce qui rend moins probable que l'éblouissante lueur soit jouée dans des environnements compétitifs.

If such a spell is copied, and the effect that copies the spell allows a player to choose new targets for the copy, the number of targets can’t be changed. The player may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, the player can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
