About Malevolent Whispers

Malevolent Whispers, Sorcery, designed by Greg Staples first released in Apr, 2016 in the set Shadows over Innistrad and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 0.03.

This card, Malevolent Whispers, would benefit a red aggressive deck looking to gain tempo and surprise their opponent with a sudden swing in board presence. While it can be a powerful play in certain situations, there are better options like Act of Treason or Threaten that offer similar effects for a lower cost, making them more efficient choices for decks focused on stealing creatures. Malevolent Whispers could see play in a casual or themed deck, but in competitive settings, it may not be the most optimal choice.

Gaining control of a creature doesn’t cause you to gain control of any Auras or Equipment attached to it, even though those remain attached to it.

Madness works independently of why you’re discarding the card. You could discard it to pay a cost, because a spell or ability tells you to, or even because you have too many cards in your hand at the end of your turn. You can’t discard a card with madness just because you want to, though.
