Wizards of the Coast has pulled yet another gift out of their hat to celebrate Magic: The Gathering turning 30 this year. At the next MagicCon, in Barcelona, players and fans will have the opportunity to participate in a tournament with a US$75,000 prize pool, with the first place taking US$15,000 home, besides a Pro Tour invite as well.
As usual, this MagicCon will feature several different events besides this tournament. Guests will be able to check out Cosplay Contests, Special Guests, Game Knights, Preview Panels and several others, including the Secret Lair Showdown Qualifier. Many other events are still yet to be announced, so keep an eye out for any activities that might be on your radar.

Wizards also announced another tournament to happen in MagicCon Barcelona: The Limited Open Tournament.
This was a new event for WotC for MagicCon Las Vegas, therefore many details about it haven't been revealed yet, but the announcement mentioned important information players should pay attention to when participating in this event.
Firstly, to participate, players need to have bought Badges for Friday and Saturday. They also need to pay an entry-fee of €135. There are only 1,200 slots available, so anyone interested should pay attention to the openings on the official Wizards of the Coast website on June 29th!
The competition will have eight rounds of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Sealed play on Day 1, two three-rounds The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth drafts on Day 2, and a single-elimination The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Booster draft in the Top 8 on Sunday.
There are prizes up to the 96 best ranking players, and to earn a Pro Tour invite, players will need to get 36 match points or higher.

Format
Day 1 (Friday, July 28th) – The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Sealed Deck
Eight Rounds of Swiss.
Players with 18 or more match points advance to Day 2.
Day 2 (Saturday, July 29th) – The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Draft
Two three-round The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth drafts. Top 8 players advance to a final draft on Sunday.
All players with 36 match points, a match record of 12–2 or better, or a Top 8 finish, whichever is greater, qualify for the Pro Tour.
