Witness of the Ages könnte in einem Kontrolldeck von Vorteil sein, das darauf abzielt, das Spiel aufzuhalten und den Gegner mit seiner hohen Widerstandskraft und dem Potenzial, sich in eine größere Bedrohung zu verwandeln, zu übertreffen. Allerdings gibt es in Magic: the Gathering bessere Optionen für eine 6-Mana-Artefaktkreatur, wie etwa Steel Hellkite oder Wurmcoil Engine, die eine unmittelbarere Wirkung oder einen größeren Wert bieten. Witness of the Ages könnte aufgrund seiner langsamen Natur und dem Fehlen einer ausreichend starken Wirkung, die seine Kosten rechtfertigen würde, Schwierigkeiten haben, einen Platz im Wettbewerbsspiel zu finden.

Morph lets you cast a card face down by paying , and lets you turn the face-down permanent face up any time you have priority by paying its morph cost.

When the spell resolves, it enters the battlefield as a 2/2 creature with no name, mana cost, creature types, or abilities. It’s colorless and has a converted mana cost of 0. Other effects that apply to the creature can still grant it any of these characteristics.
