Diese Rules Lawyer-Karte würde einem Kontrolldeck, das darauf abzielt, seine Permanents zu schützen und spielentscheidende Situationen zu verhindern, sehr zugute kommen, indem es eine starke Schutzschicht gegen verschiedene statusbasierte Aktionen bietet. Während Rules Lawyer einen einzigartigen und starken Schutz bietet, ist es möglicherweise nicht die effizienteste Wahl für den Wettbewerb aufgrund seiner hohen Manakosten und seiner Anfälligkeit für Entfernungssprüche. Andere Karten wie Teferi, Time Raveler oder Gideon Blackblade können ähnlichen Schutz bieten und zusätzliche Nützlichkeit bieten, was sie potenziell bessere Optionen für die Aufnahme in ein Deck macht.
