Verzehrendes Licht, Spontanzauber, entworfen von Pete Venters Erstveröffentlichung in Oct, 2005 bei der Bearbeitung Ravnica: City of Guilds und wurde genau in gedruckt 9 verschiedene Formen. Es wird derzeit zum niedrigsten Preis von verkauft € 0.03.

Ein Deck, das sich darauf konzentriert, das Schlachtfeld zu kontrollieren und die Kampfstrategie des Gegners zu stören, würde von der Einbindung von „Verschlingendes Licht“ profitieren. Seine Fähigkeit, eine angreifende oder blockende Kreatur ins Exil zu schicken, kann ein mächtiges Entfernungswerkzeug sein, insbesondere in Kombination mit der Einberufungsmechanik, um sie möglicherweise für weniger Mana zu wirken. Während es andere Entfernungszauber mit unterschiedlichen Vorteilen wie sofortiger Geschwindigkeit oder zusätzlichen Effekten geben kann, könnte Verschlingendes Licht dennoch in Decks zum Einsatz kommen, die nach einer effizienten Kreaturenentfernung in einer auf Weiß basierenden Strategie suchen.

If a creature you control has a mana ability with in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell’s costs. You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.

You can tap any untapped creature you control to convoke a spell, even one you haven’t controlled continuously since the beginning of your most recent turn.
