This card, Lost Vale, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly, such as a ramp or control deck. It provides a significant mana boost when transformed from Dowsing Dagger, allowing for faster and more powerful plays. While there may be more efficient mana ramp cards available, Lost Vale could still see play in decks looking to accelerate their mana production and gain an advantage in the mid to late game.

Attacking with an equipped creature doesn’t cause Equipment attached to it to become tapped. Dowsing Dagger will normally be untapped when it transforms into Lost Vale.
