„Soulblade Renewer“ würde einem +1/+1-Konter-Synergie-Deck zugute kommen, insbesondere einem, das sich auf Kreaturenunterstützung und Verstärkungsstrategien konzentriert. Während diese Karte effiziente Unterstützung bietet und im richtigen Deck gut funktionieren kann, bieten Alternativen wie „Hardened Scales“ oder „Winding Constrictor“ möglicherweise konsistentere und stärkere Effekte, wodurch es weniger wahrscheinlich ist, dass Soulblade Renewer außerhalb von Gelegenheits- oder Themendecks konkurrenzfähig ist.
