Extortion, Sorcery, designed by Pete Venters first released in Oct, 1999 in the set Mercadian Masques. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 0.73.
A black control deck would benefit from using Extortion in a Magic: the Gathering deck, as it helps disrupt the opponent's hand by forcing them to discard key cards. While Extortion can be a powerful tool in disrupting the opponent's resources, there are potentially better cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek that offer more versatility and efficiency at lower costs, making them more popular in competitive play. However, Extortion could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking to disrupt their opponent's game plan.
