About Ghostway

A deck that focuses on creatures with powerful enter-the-battlefield abilities, such as creatures with strong triggered abilities or those that generate value upon entering the battlefield, would benefit from including Ghostway in their strategy. While Ghostway can be a powerful tool for protecting your creatures from removal spells or board wipes, a similar card like Eerie Interlude may be more versatile as it also protects against exile effects and can be played at instant speed. However, Ghostway could still see play in specific creature-heavy decks looking for protection and value generation.

All cards exiled with Ghostway will return to the battlefield, even if they’re no longer creatures.

When the creatures are exiled, any Auras or Equipment on them fall off and any counters on them are removed. When they return to the battlefield, they come back untapped and are treated as new versions of the cards.
