About Mist Intruder

Mist Intruder, Creature — eldrazi drone, designed by Jason Rainville first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.87.

This Mist Intruder card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on exiling cards from the opponent's library and utilizing ingest mechanics. It could work well in a blue/black control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's strategy by exiling key cards. While Mist Intruder is a decent card for its cost, there are potentially more powerful options like Thought-Knot Seer or Reality Smasher that could have a greater impact on the game. Whether Mist Intruder should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's included in.

Rules

Cards with devoid use frames that are variations of the transparent frame traditionally used for Eldrazi. The top part of the card features some color over a background based on the texture of the hedrons that once imprisoned the Eldrazi. This coloration is intended to aid deckbuilding and game play.

08/25/15

If a card loses devoid, it will still be colorless. This is because effects that change an object’s color (like the one created by devoid) are considered before the object loses devoid.

08/25/15

If the player has no cards in their library when the ingest ability resolves, nothing happens. That player won’t lose the game (until they have to draw a card from an empty library).

08/25/15

Other cards and abilities can give a card with devoid color. If that happens, it’s just the new color, not that color and colorless.
