Mutilate, Sorcery, designed by Eric Peterson first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment and was printed exactly in 8 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 1.53.
This card would be beneficial in a mono-black deck that focuses on controlling the board by using swamps to reduce the power and toughness of opposing creatures. However, there are better options like Damnation or Toxic Deluge that offer more efficient board wipes. Mutilate could still see play in budget or thematic decks, but competitive decks would likely opt for more powerful alternatives.

The effect is based on the number of Swamps you control when Mutilate resolves. Only creatures on the battlefield at that time will be affected. The effect won’t change later in the turn, even if the number of Swamps you control changes.
