About Simic Guildmage

Simic Guildmage, Creature — elf wizard, designed by Aleksi Briclot first released in May, 2020 in the set Dissension and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 0.14.

Simic Guildmage would be a great addition to a deck focused on +1/+1 counters or Auras, as it provides versatile utility in moving counters and Auras between creatures. However, in terms of competitive play, there are more efficient cards like Zegana, Utopian Speaker or Hadana's Climb that offer stronger effects and better synergy with Simic strategies, making them more viable choices for deckbuilding.

For the first ability, the first target creature doesn’t need to have a +1/+1 counter on it. If it doesn’t, the ability does nothing.

For the second ability, only the Aura is targeted. When the ability resolves, you choose a permanent to move the Aura onto. It can’t be the permanent the Aura is already attached to, it must be controlled by the player who controls the permanent the Aura is attached to, and it must be able to be enchanted by the Aura. (It doesn’t matter who controls the Aura or who controls Simic Guildmage.) If no such permanent exists, the Aura doesn’t move.
