About Thriving Ibex

Thriving Ibex, Creature — goat, designed by Sidharth Chaturvedi first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 0.04.

This card would be beneficial in a white-based energy deck in Magic: the Gathering, where it can synergize well with other energy-generating cards and benefit from +1/+1 counter synergies. While Thriving Ibex offers a decent value for its cost, there are potentially better options like Longtusk Cub or Bristling Hydra that provide more immediate impact and scalability in an energy-focused strategy. However, if the deck is looking for additional energy generation and +1/+1 counter synergies, Thriving Ibex could still find a place in the deck and see play in certain scenarios.

02/09/17

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

02/09/17

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.

Some triggered abilities state that you “may pay” a certain amount of . You can’t pay that amount multiple times to multiply the effect. You simply choose whether or not to pay that amount of as the ability resolves, and no player may take actions to try to stop the ability’s effect after you make your choice.
