Merfolk Looter, Creature — merfolk rogue, designed by Ron Spencer first released in Jun, 1998 in the set Exodus and was printed exactly in 18 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.30.
A deck that focuses on card advantage and graveyard interaction, such as a control or combo deck, would benefit from including Merfolk Looter. While it provides a consistent way to filter through your deck, there are better options available like Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, which not only loots but also has a powerful transformation ability. Merfolk Looter could still see play in more budget or casual decks where its effect fits well with the strategy.
