This card would benefit a ramp or landfall deck that aims to quickly ramp up its mana base and play multiple lands per turn. However, there are better cards for this purpose such as Harrow or Cultivate, which provide more efficient land ramp options. Path of the Animist could see play in casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, more efficient ramp spells would likely be preferred.
