About Sengir Vampire

A deck that focuses on aggressive creature strategies and combat damage would benefit from using Sengir Vampire, as it can quickly grow in power by putting +1/+1 counters on itself whenever a creature it dealt damage to dies. While Sengir Vampire can be a strong card in the right deck, there may be better options available depending on the specific strategy and format. Cards like Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet or Bloodghast could potentially be more versatile and impactful choices, but Sengir Vampire could still see play in decks looking to capitalize on its ability to grow in power through combat interactions.

If Sengir Vampire and a creature it dealt damage to are both put into a graveyard at the same time, Sengir Vampire’s ability will trigger, but it will do nothing when it resolves.

If Sengir Vampire deals nonlethal damage to a creature and then a different effect or damage source causes that creature to be put into a graveyard later in the turn, Sengir Vampire’s ability will trigger and it will get a +1/+1 counter.
