This card, Abrupt Decay, is excellent for decks that focus on disrupting their opponent's board state, particularly in formats where there are many low-cost nonland permanents that need to be dealt with efficiently. Decks that aim to control the battlefield and maintain tempo would benefit from including Abrupt Decay. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Abrupt Decay's ability to not be countered makes it a reliable choice in many situations. Overall, it is a strong card that should definitely see play in decks looking to handle threats efficiently.
