About Archnemesis

Archnemesis, Enchantment — aura, designed by Riccardo Federici first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes Commander. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

Archnemesis would fit best in a multiplayer Commander (EDH) politics or “pillow‑fort” style Dimir (blue‑black) deck that encourages opponents to attack each other while you generate incremental value, since it rewards you for attacking the enchanted player and can politically shift to whoever turns their creatures toward you; it’s especially decent in evasive creature decks that can reliably connect. However, at three mana and requiring attacks to generate value, it’s fairly slow and situational compared to stronger, more consistent Dimir staples like Rhystic Study (far more reliable card draw), Phyrexian Arena (steady draw), or Court of Ambition (repeatable life drain in multiplayer), and even Curse of Disturbance or Curse of Opulence often provide better political incentives at lower cost. Overall, it’s a flavorful and fun multiplayer card but likely too low-impact and conditional for competitive formats, making it more of a casual Commander inclusion than a staple.
