About Arzakon
Arzakon, Legendary planeswalker — arzakon, designed by Alex Horley-Orlandelli first released in Aug, 2026 in the set Mystery Booster Commander Edition.
Arzakon would be strongest as a five-color Superfriends/proliferate combo commander, using cards such as Doubling Season, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, The Chain Veil, and untap effects to repeatedly make Black Lotus tokens and immediately convert them into explosive mana; artifact-token recursion and sacrifice synergies make that even more dangerous. It is far above a reasonable power level: a repeatable loyalty ability that creates a functional Black Lotus, especially starting from a `+2`, enables fast combo turns and is easy to abuse with proliferate or extra activations, while the `-7` is a powerful Timetwister-style reset. For a fairer five-color Superfriends deck, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice is generally the better-balanced commander, and Kenrith, the Returned King is usually the better flexible five-color value/combo commander; however, neither is stronger than Arzakon at raw mana generation.
