About Bicycle Elemental
Bicycle Elemental, Artifact creature — elemental, designed by Mark Rosewater first released in Jun, 2026 in the set MagicFest 2026.
Bicycle Elemental would fit best in a casual or Commander “word-matters” or cycling-themed deck, especially one built around a commonly shared word like “creature,” “spell,” a specific creature type (e.g., “Wizard”), or a mechanic word that appears frequently in your deck’s rules text, letting you turn many cards in hand into pseudo-cyclers while growing it into a sizeable threat; it also synergizes well with established cycling payoffs like Drake Haven, Archfiend of Ifnir, or Flourishing Fox. However, at three mana and requiring setup (you must both choose the right word and have multiple matching cards in hand), it’s slower and less consistent than dedicated cycling enablers like New Perspectives, Fluctuator (in older formats), or simply running cards that already have cycling printed on them, and it doesn’t generate value beyond a single growing body. As a result, it’s probably too narrow and unreliable for competitive formats but could be a fun and potentially strong build-around i
