A deck focused on creature sacrifice and recursion, such as a Golgari or Jund midrange deck, would benefit from using Birthing Ritual as it provides card advantage and potential for ramping into larger creatures. However, there are better cards like Birthing Pod or Collected Company that offer more consistent and powerful creature tutoring options, making Birthing Ritual less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats.
