Burning Prophet would be a great addition to a red aggressive deck that focuses on casting a lot of noncreature spells to trigger its ability and gain value through scrying. However, in a competitive setting, there are better cards like Monastery Swiftspear or Soul-Scar Mage that offer more immediate impact and synergies with noncreature spells, making them more viable options. Burning Prophet could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking for a versatile and budget-friendly option.
