However, for a similar mana cost, cards like Craterhoof Behemoth or Beastmaster Ascension may provide more impactful and consistent buffs to your creatures, making them potentially better choices depending on the overall strategy of the deck. Centaur Chieftain could see play in specific decks that can reliably meet the threshold condition and benefit from the temporary boost it provides.
