About Cephalid Sage
Cephalid Sage, Creature — octopus, designed by Keith Garletts first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.50.
A deck that focuses on self-mill or graveyard recursion would benefit from using Cephalid Sage, as it can easily reach the threshold condition to draw cards and filter through the graveyard. However, there are better options like Jace, Vryn's Prodigy or Snapcaster Mage that offer more versatile abilities and consistency. While Cephalid Sage has its niche uses, it may not see play in more competitive decks due to its limitations compared to other cards in the same mana cost range.
Rules
06/08/16
You draw three cards and discard two cards all while Cephalid Sage’s ability is resolving. Nothing can happen between the two, and no player may choose to take actions.
