This card, Compy Swarm, would be beneficial in a deck focused on sacrificing creatures or creating a lot of token creatures. Decks that revolve around sacrificing creatures for value or generating multiple creatures can take advantage of the card's ability to create copies of itself, potentially overwhelming the opponent with a swarm of creatures. While there may be more powerful cards with similar effects, Compy Swarm could still see play in certain strategies that rely on creature recursion and token generation.

The token copy won't copy counters or damage marked on Compy Swarm, nor will it copy other effects that have changed Compy Swarm's power, toughness, types, color, and so on. Normally, this means the token will simply be a Compy Swarm, but if any copy effects have affected the original Compy Swarm, the token will take those into account.
