About Confront the Unknown
Confront the Unknown, Instant, designed by Kev Walker first released in Apr, 2016 in the set Shadows over Innistrad and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.50.
Confront the Unknown would be beneficial in a green deck that focuses on generating and utilizing Clue tokens, as it provides a temporary power boost to a creature based on the number of Clues you control. While it can be a decent inclusion in a Clue-themed deck, there are potentially better cards like Oath of Nissa or Trail of Evidence that offer more consistent value or card advantage. Whether Confront the Unknown sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, as well as the overall power level of the format it is being played in.

The tokens are normal artifacts. For example, they can be sacrificed to cast Angelic Purge or targeted by Root Out.

You can’t cast a spell without choosing legal targets. If all of those targets become illegal, the spell doesn’t resolve and you won’t investigate.
