About Culling Scales

Culling Scales, Artifact, designed by Daren Bader first released in Oct, 2003 in the set Mirrodin. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.66.

A control deck focused on removal and disruption effects would benefit most from using Culling Scales in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a recurring way to remove the opponent's lowest-cost permanents each turn. However, other cards like Oblivion Stone or Nevinyrral's Disk offer more flexibility by clearing the entire board when needed, making them potentially better options depending on the deck's strategy and needs. Ultimately, whether Culling Scales should see play depends on the specific deck and meta it is in, as it may be a niche choice in certain situations.

You choose the target. If there’s more than one nonland permanent tied for lowest converted mana cost, you choose which one to target.
