Curious Colossus would fit best in a mono‑white or white-based midrange/control deck that wants a powerful enter-the-battlefield swing against creature-heavy strategies, especially ones relying on static abilities, keywords, or tribal synergies (like lords, combo creatures, or value engines), since it effectively blanks abilities and shrinks the board to 1/1s while leaving your own board untouched. However, at seven mana (5WW), it competes with stronger and often more immediately decisive options like **Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite** (which not only shrinks opposing creatures but also buffs yours and often wipes boards outright), **Sunfall** (a full board wipe with upside), or **Farewell** (a flexible sweeper that exiles), all of which generally provide more reliable impact for similar or lower cost.
