This card, Cut the Tethers, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on Spirits or a deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's board by bouncing their creatures back to their hand. However, a better alternative might be the card Cyclonic Rift, which is a more versatile option as it can target any nonland permanent and has overload for a mass bounce effect. Cut the Tethers could still see play in specific Spirit-themed decks or as a budget option for players who don't have access to Cyclonic Rift.
