About Desolation Giant

Desolation Giant, Creature — giant, designed by Alan Pollack first released in June 2001 in the set Apocalypse and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.73.

This card would be well-suited for a deck that focuses on board control and disruption, such as a red-white control or midrange deck. While Desolation Giant can provide a powerful board wipe effect, its drawback of destroying your own creatures can be mitigated by using it strategically or in a deck that doesn't rely heavily on creature presence. However, there are other cards like \[\[Wrath of God\]\] or \[\[Day of Judgment\]\] that offer similar board wipe effects without the downside of destroying your own creatures, making them potentially better options depending on the deck's strategy and needs.

Rules

11/08/2024

If a card or token enters as a copy of a permanent, the new permanent isn't kicked, even if the original was.

11/08/2024

If a spell's kicker cost was paid, the spell is "kicked."

11/08/2024

If you copy a kicked spell on the stack, the copy is also kicked. If the copied spell is a permanent spell, the token the copy of that spell becomes when it enters is also kicked.

11/08/2024

If you put a permanent with a kicker ability onto the battlefield without casting it, you can't kick it.

11/08/2024

The kicker ability doesn't let you pay a kicker cost more than once.

11/08/2024

To determine a spell's total cost, start with the mana cost (or an alternative cost if another card's effect allows you to pay one instead), add any cost increases (such as kicker), then apply any cost reductions. The spell's mana value remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
