A deck that focuses on color manipulation or control, such as a deck that benefits from changing the colors of creatures for protection or evasion, would benefit from using Dream Coat. However, there are better cards like Chromatic Lantern or Prismatic Omen that provide more versatile color-changing abilities or additional benefits. Dream Coat may not see play in competitive decks due to its limited color-changing ability and mana cost compared to other options available.
