Elemental Mascot would fit best in a **UR (Izzet) spells-matter tempo or prowess-style deck** that chains cheap cantrips and burn while occasionally casting a big spell to trigger the “five or more mana” bonus, since flying plus vigilance makes it a strong evasive threat that can attack and still hold back for defense, and the Opus ability rewards spell-heavy builds by turning every instant or sorcery into extra damage and sometimes card advantage; however, at three mana in Izzet colors it competes with extremely efficient staples like **Sprite Dragon**, **Stormchaser Mage**, **Third Path Iconoclast**, and especially **Ledger Shredder**, all of which either grow more reliably, generate value without requiring five-mana spells, or impact the board immediately in more consistent ways, so while Elemental Mascot is solid in a midrange spells deck that plans to cast larger spells (like big draw spells, extra turns, or expensive burn), it is likely a bit too slow and conditional for top-tier
