About Entrust the Spark
Entrust the Spark, Sorcery, designed by Mintautas Šukys first released in September 2026 in the set Reality Fracture and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.01.
Entrust the Spark would fit best in a Commander “Superfriends” deck that plays inexpensive planeswalkers for value and wants to convert one that is low on loyalty or no longer useful into a powerful finisher such as Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, or Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God; green-blue also provides ramp and protection to reach five mana and support the plan. However, it is likely too slow and risky for most competitive decks: it costs five mana, works only at sorcery speed, requires you to already control a planeswalker, and sacrificing that planeswalker is part of the cost, meaning a counterspell can leave you down a card. Arena Rector is generally the stronger version of this effect in formats where it is legal, since it costs four mana, can be sacrificed or allowed to die, and puts any planeswalker directly onto the battlefield; Ignite the Beacon is also often preferable when you simply need planeswalker card advantage, since it finds two walkers at instant spee
