Establishing Shot would be a great addition to a burn or aggressive red deck in Magic: the Gathering, especially in the early game to get in some quick damage. While it can be useful as a cheap spell that scales in damage based on sequencing, there may be more efficient cards like Lightning Bolt or Lava Spike that are more consistently powerful and see more play in competitive decks. However, in budget or casual decks where you want to maximize efficiency with limited resources, Establishing Shot could still have a place and see play for its versatility and potential for high damage output.
