Exorcise would be beneficial in a white control deck that aims to remove high-power threats from the opponent's board. While it is a decent removal option for artifacts, enchantments, and creatures with power 4 or greater, there are more versatile and efficient removal spells available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, which can target any creature regardless of its power. Therefore, Exorcise may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limitations compared to other removal options.
