A control deck that focuses on stalling the game and preventing aggressive strategies would benefit from using Festival in Magic: The Gathering. While Festival can be situationally useful in preventing attacks during an opponent's turn, there are better options like Fog or Holy Day that offer similar effects at a lower cost and can be played at any time. Festival may not see much play in competitive decks due to its restrictive casting requirements and the availability of more versatile alternatives.
