About Godhunter Octopus

Godhunter Octopus, Creature — octopus, designed by Tyler Jacobson first released in May, 2014 in the set Journey into Nyx. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.48.

This card would fit well in a blue control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's enchantments or using its own enchantments to enable the Octopus to attack. However, the requirement for the defending player to control an enchantment or enchanted permanent may limit its effectiveness, so other cards like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling or Thassa's Oracle could be better options for a blue deck looking for more consistent and versatile creatures.

Rules

04/26/14

Whether the defending player controls an enchantment or enchanted permanent is checked only as attackers are declared. Once Godhunter Octopus has been declared as an attacker, it will continue to attack even if the defending player loses control of each enchantment or enchanted permanent they controlled.
