Guerrilla Gorilla fits best in aggressive or midrange green decks—especially in Limited or budget builds—that want flexible main-deck answers to problematic noncreature artifacts and enchantments while still applying pressure with a creature; decks like Gruul or mono-green stompy that value board presence and incidental utility could make use of it. However, in most constructed formats there are significantly better options: Reclamation Sage, Haywire Mite, Caustic Caterpillar, Boseiju, Who Endures, and Force of Vigor all provide more efficient, flexible, or harder-to-interact-with removal, often at instant speed or without sacrificing as much tempo. Because Guerrilla Gorilla requires sacrificing itself, works only at sorcery speed, and cannot hit creature-typed artifacts or enchantments, it is generally outclassed and unlikely to see competitive play outside of very low-power environments or Limited formats where repeatable artifact/enchantment hate on a creature body is scarce.
