Guiding Hydra

About Guiding Hydra

Guiding Hydra, Creature — hydra horror, designed by FeelFish first released in September 2026 in the set Reality Fracture and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Standard and Modern. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.78.

Guiding Hydra fits best in a Selesnya (+1/+1 counters) go-wide deck, especially Commander lists that can give it extra counters through proliferate, counter doublers such as `Hardened Scales` or `Branching Evolution`, and creatures that benefit whenever counters are added; it turns a large X spell into repeatable team-wide growth, though it needs several other creatures and eventually runs out of its own counters. `Loyal Guardian` is generally better in a creature-heavy Commander deck because it adds a counter to every creature, including itself, every combat without consuming resources (provided you control your commander), while `Mikaeus, the Lunarch` is a flexible alternative for lower curves. Guiding Hydra is playable as a synergy piece rather than a staple: run it when your deck reliably makes it large and protects or replenishes its counters, but skip it for more efficient standalone threats or if your board is usually small.
