A deck focused on Dragon tribal synergy in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from including Herdchaser Dragon, as it provides a powerful boost to other Dragon creatures when turned face up. However, in competitive play, there are stronger options available such as Thunderbreak Regent or Stormbreath Dragon that offer more immediate impact or protection. Herdchaser Dragon could see play in more casual Dragon-themed decks for its unique ability to bolster your Dragon army upon morphing.
