Hexing Squelcher would fit best in an aggressive red or red‑based midrange deck that wants to force through key spells against control, such as Mono‑Red Aggro, Gruul Aggro, or even Izzet spells decks in counterspell-heavy metagames, because it protects both your board and your stack interaction by making your spells uncounterable and taxing removal with Ward—Pay 2 life; it’s especially strong in creature-heavy builds where giving your whole team ward meaningfully punishes spot removal.
