Hightide Hermit, Creature — crab, designed by Jason Kang first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.48.
This Hightide Hermit card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on energy generation and utilizing those energy counters for various effects. It could fit well in a blue-based energy deck that aims to control the board with defensive creatures while building up resources for bigger plays. While there may be more powerful options available, such as Aether Adept for a similar mana cost, Hightide Hermit could still see play in specific energy-themed decks looking for a defensive option that can also turn into an attacker when needed.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.
