Insectoid Exterminator (2B for a flying Insect Mutant with a “Disappear” end-step scry 1 if a permanent you controlled left the battlefield) would fit best in an Aristocrats-style or sacrifice-based black deck—especially ones using expendable creatures, token generators, Blood tokens, Treasures, or self-recurring threats—since those decks reliably have permanents leaving the battlefield and can turn the scry into steady card selection while applying light evasive pressure. It could also function in grindy midrange shells that use sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer or effects like Deadly Dispute to trigger it consistently. That said, in most formats there are stronger options at three mana: cards like Graveyard Trespasser (more resilient and disruptive), Braids, Arisen Nightmare (much stronger sacrifice payoff), or even Midnight Reaper (better card advantage in Aristocrats) generally provide more impact than conditional scry 1.
