**Intrepid Ace** is best suited for aggressive red decks—especially those that value early pressure but can also benefit from creatures that remain back to crew Vehicles (like in a Boros or mono‑red Vehicles shell), since it stays large while not attacking or blocking. However, the card is generally underpowered by modern Magic standards because it only maintains its +2/+0 bonus when it *isn’t* attacking or blocking, which works against what aggressive decks want to do. In most cases, stronger and more efficient alternatives like **Monastery Swiftspear**, **Kumano Faces Kakkazan**, **Bloodthirsty Adversary**, or even classic aggressive one‑drops such as **Goblin Guide** (in non‑Standard formats) provide much better pressure and synergy.
