Loyal Sentry, Creature — human soldier, designed by Ron Spears first released in Jul, 1999 in the set Starter 1999 and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.49.

Loyal Sentry would be a valuable addition to a white weenie or aggro deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides efficient removal for opposing threats while also serving as a blocker. However, there are better options available such as Banisher Priest or Fiend Hunter, which offer similar removal effects without the drawback of self-destruction. Loyal Sentry could see play in specific metagames where its ability is particularly useful, but in general, there are more versatile and powerful options to consider for competitive play.

Loyal Sentry and the creature it blocks are destroyed before combat damage is dealt. The blocked creature is destroyed even if Loyal Sentry leaves the battlefield before its triggered ability resolves.
