This card would benefit a deck focused on card advantage and utilizing a lot of creatures. Decks that can consistently keep a full hand and have multiple creatures to tap for its ability would make the most of Maro Avatar. However, in terms of better options, a card like Giant Growth might be more efficient for a similar effect without the need to tap a creature and discard a card. Whether Maro Avatar should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's included in.
