About Mask of the Mimic

Mask of the Mimic, Instant, designed by Heather Hudson first released in Mar, 1998 in the set Stronghold. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.49.

A deck that focuses on creature duplication or recursion would benefit from using Mask of the Mimic in Magic: the Gathering. This card can be particularly useful in decks that rely on powerful creatures with unique abilities, allowing players to quickly search for and put another copy of that creature onto the battlefield. However, there are better alternatives like Clone or Phyrexian Metamorph, which provide similar effects without the need to sacrifice a creature as an additional cost. While Mask of the Mimic has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play due to its limitations compared to other options available in the game.
