About Nessian Asp

Nessian Asp, Creature — snake, designed by Alex Horley-Orlandelli first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.50.

The Nessian Asp card could be beneficial in a green-based midrange or ramp deck that focuses on controlling the board with reach and then ramping up to a powerful, monstrous creature. However, there are potentially better options like the Polukranos, World Eater card which offers a more versatile and impactful monstrosity ability. Nessian Asp could see play in casual or budget decks, but in competitive settings, it might be outclassed by more efficient options.

Rules

09/15/13

An ability that triggers when a creature becomes monstrous won’t trigger if that creature isn’t on the battlefield when its monstrosity ability resolves.

09/15/13

Once a creature becomes monstrous, it can’t become monstrous again. If the creature is already monstrous when the monstrosity ability resolves, nothing happens.
