About Null Summoner

Null Summoner, Creature — human warlock, designed by Kevin Glint first released in September 2026 in the set Reality Fracture and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Null Summoner is best in **Dimir self-mill / graveyard midrange-control** decks that can reliably hit **threshold** while playing a normal disruption game: surveil, looting, cheap removal, counterspells, and cards that fill the graveyard make it a late-game two-for-one where you strip the opponent’s best nonland card and potentially cast it yourself. It is much worse in blink/reanimator shells because the ETB only works “if you cast it,” and the permission to cast the exiled card appears tied to Null Summoner staying around, making it vulnerable to removal. In most competitive formats, the cleaner disruption cards are usually better: **Thoughtseize** is the gold standard because it costs one mana and takes almost anything; **Inquisition of Kozilek** is often better when the format is low-curve; **Duress** is better as a cheap sideboard card against control/combo; and creature-based options like **Deep-Cavern Bat** are more tempo-efficient, though less permanent.
